ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTABLES

Anti-wrinkle injectables are substances injected beneath the skin’s surface to reduce or erase signs of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines. The most common ones are Botox and Dysport. Botox and Dysport are both derived from the same botulinum toxin, a naturally occurring protein that freezes muscles responsible for causing wrinkles.

Common areas treated with Botox and Dysport include horizontal forehead lines, glabellar lines between the brows, outer eye creases (crow’s feet), droopy eyelids, and vertical wrinkles on the lips (also called smoker’s lines). It can also be used to smooth and lift the neck, or to firm the jawline.

If you’re looking for an effective way to reduce visible signs of aging without invasive surgery or excessive downtime, then either Botox or Dysport may be the right choice for you. At Skin Rituals, we evaluate each patient individually to determine the best treatment for your skin type, age, lifestyle, and desired results.

  • Botox and Dysport are both neuromodulators derived from the same protein (botulinum toxin type A) that are injected into the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. As we age, our facial muscles tend to get stronger, causing more folds and wrinkles. Botox and Dysport work in a similar way to relax these muscles by temporarily blocking their nerve signals, resulting in smoother skin without any surgery or downtime.

  • Botox and Dysport are commonly used to treat various areas on the face or neck, including:

    • Forehead lines

    • Glabellar Lines (between eyebrows)

    • Crow’s Feet (around eyes)

    • Droopy eyelids

    • Smoker’s lines (around the mouth)

    • Chin dimples

    • Vertical neck bands

    • Gummy smile

    • Firm jawline

    • Hands for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)

  • After Botox and/or Dysport treatment, results can begin to show after 4 days, and last up to 4 months. The length will vary depending on your lifestyle and habits, all of which would be explained during your consultation. Most patients will see results after just one session of treatment.

After treatment, you should avoid touching or rubbing the treated areas for at least 48 hours, and refrain from excessive exercise, sweating, or alcohol for the first two days. Some patients may experience slight redness or swelling in the area, but this will go away on its own. There is no downtime with this treatment so patients can return to their normal activities right away!

  • From $9/unit.

Depending on your desired results, one treatment session may include between 20 and 40 units for example, which would total around $180-360 per session. Book a free consultation or give us a call to discuss your aesthetic goals and create a customized treatment for you!
